Serve them warm with a glass of milk and feel like a playful kid again – and we could all use a little more play!

Prep: easy
Fat & Cal: decadent
2 dozen small or 1 dozen huge
Recipe can be cut in half easily - but why?
INGREDIENTS
½ cup rolled oats (quick or regular)
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp lemon juice (activates the soda for a softer cookie)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips (you can use raisins instead, but why?)
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350F. Cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper for best results.
Process oats in a blender or food processor until fine. Combine oats, flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
In another bowl cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice with a mixer. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Stir dry mixture into wet mixture - blend well. Add chips and nuts, mix well. Use ice-cream scoop for uniform cookies -
leave them in balls about 2 ½ inches apart. Bake until lightly brown, 15-18 minutes.
Enjoy!1>
