Italian Dessert Recipe - Zabaglione with Berries

Tastes like Champagne Cream!

This Zabaglione is served warm, with summer fruit.

Use a large wine glass or margarita glass for serving.

1/2 cup Champagne

1/4 cup sugar

2 large egg yolks

1 large egg

5 cups mixed fresh berries

Fresh Berries

Combine the first 4 ingredients together on a double broiler - which is a saucepan resting in a pan of boiling water. The idea is to keep the eggs from curdling with direct heat.

Cook Zabaglione over simmering water until the mixture thickens - about 7 minutes, whisking almost constantly. (a labor of love, I assure you).

Remove from heat Serve over berries.
