Love and Romance Poems
The What-if Game
Love and Romance Poems, and this one dares to ask...
What if it’s true? What if this thing we’re working towards is bigger than me and you? What if this courtship has always been God’s Plan and it just took me this long to be ready for God’s man?
What if I told you that I’m crazy about you and you make me feel just like a kid,
And then you told me to give you my heart and I told you I already did?
What if we actually get to experience our maker’s idea of love,
And someday I’ll get to wake up next to my husband and thank my God above?
And what if we make our surrender to Christ an ongoing covenant to be honored when we become one.
Do you think our Father would be blessed if we build our future on His Son?
What if we play the ‘what if game’ with a prayer on our lips,
a lamp at our feet, and a song in our hearts,
take God at His word that he’ll give us eternity and today is just a start?
Can I be fearless and faithful and trusting in His plan and give up all of my demanding –
To sit and realize that He gave me this man
and just enjoy a peace that passes understanding?
What if?
