How I Built This Site

I just knew I wanted to build a web-site and I knew that with my busy schedule, I needed it to be a no-brainer.

How did Romance-Recipe get started? The impetus was a need for a creative outlet and the real desire for a second income. I have a son in college and I am blown away with how much a formal education costs! That, and there is no such thing as job security these days. And did I mention the price of gas?

The idea for the site came from sitting around with my girls and noticing that we inevitably end up talking about two things: our relationships with our lovers and food! I realized I had knowledge on these two subjects and started jotting down ideas.

The next thing you know, I’m searching Google for information on how to build a BLOG or a simple website. I quickly became over-whelmed! There is so much to know about web-hosting, search engine optimization, HTML code, and how to make money from a site. I immediately became discouraged and was about to give up.

And then I cam across Site Build It.

So I did my due diligence – I read everything I could, researched to find any bad feed-back about the solution, and I was so glad that I couldn’t find one reason not to do this. And it has been a cake-walk! I spend about an hour a day right now building this and I actually enjoy it – very much. It is so satisfying to take control of something and I can’t wait to report on my monetization efforts.
