Vision Board IdeasHow To Build Your OwnVISION BOARD
Vision Board Ideas come easy once you get the creative juices flowing. Here's how to build your own!
Dear, Oprah, you win.
I’ve listened to you and your crew go on and on about The Secret, and making a list, and putting the right vibe into the universe, and the power of positive thinking, and using a vision board to better our lives. YOU WIN!
But this is going down my way in my home. You call it a “Vision Board”, I call it a “Passion Play”. You say that if we focus on positive thoughts the universe realizes them for us, (the law of attraction), I say that if you pray and have faith, God will fill your hearts desire. You say that if we say and do the wrong things the universe will not grant us peace – I say that the Holy Spirit will guide us. You say tom-ah-toe, I say salmonella, and will grow my own.
I have always maintained that all truth is God’s truth, regardless of the source. This personal insight has freed me up to embrace the writings and precepts of many religions – and I’m so glad my mind isn’t closed. By leaving it open I have the opportunity to grow and evolve as a human. Today that looks like a stack of magazines; Better Homes & Garden, Conde Naste Traveler, Cosmopolitan, Shape, and Men’s Health, spread out all over my living room floor. I am in process of defining my core values, my future goals, and my inherent passions.
The idea is that by visually putting our positive goals in front of us and focusing on them daily, the “universe” will figure out how to provide us with those desires. The way I see it – there is power in prayer. If I pray for God’s will daily in all areas of my life; health, love, finances, family, learning, growing – God will direct my path and the path of anyone he so chooses to finish his good work. The idea is truth – whether it’s perceived as metaphysical or super-natural.
I hope to update this entry often and report on realizations.

The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.
Prayer for Serenity: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking as Jesus did this sinful world as it is; not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. AMEN
